Students of all levels need listening practice. While speaking with other students at EF is helpful, it will not help you sound like a native speaker. The only way you can improve this is by listening to and imitating authentic native speech. Listening to music, watching TV shows and movies, and listening to conversations at restaurants or other public places are a great way to practice active listening but you cannot test your comprehension this way.
Check this list of websites below to practice comprehension and vocabulary with listening.
My favorite website to tell students about is elllo.org. This website is totally free and has over 1000 different listening activities with native speakers and non-native speakers of all accents.
Another great way to practice listening is through music. Check out lyricstraining.com to practice listening with popular music in English.
A blog where students learning English as a Second Language can go to find authentic resources related to all aspects of learning English. Please use the list on the right side of the page to find material you are interested in.
