Assignment:

Select a subculture/counterculture to research
in groups of 3-4
·
Counts as a project grade
·
Present information to class
What to Research:
·
Food, clothing, language, values, religion,
location(s), norms, laws, traditions, history, leisure activities, family
structure, etc….
·
Give us feel for the life of this culture
·
Be serious and scholarly, avoid
STEREOTYPES, DO NOT MAKE FUN OF, but
have some fun as well
Presentation:
·
Group will give an oral presentation in front of
the class
·
7-9 minute time limit.
·
Must have visual component (PPT, video, LARGE
poster(s), etc..)
·
Be creative! Dress up, play music, bring food,
etc….
